How can you use VPC with AWS Lambda?

When you configure a Lambda function for a VPC:

  1. You specify one or more subnets.
  2. You specify one or more security groups.
  3. AWS creates Elastic Network Interfaces (ENIs) in those subnets.
  4. The Lambda function uses those ENIs to communicate with resources inside the VPC.
