When I terminate my instance A, what happens to my Root volume attached to that instance A.

The root EBS volume is automatically deleted when the EC2 instance is terminated because the root volume has Delete on Termination - Yes by default.

Snapshot is a point-in-time backup of EBS Volume or Root volume, It is like taking a backup or copy of the data stored in the volume.
