What is the purpose of a control plane in Kubernetes?

The control plane in kubernetes is responsible for managing the entire cluster.
It decides what runs where (scheduling containers)
Keeps track of the state of the cluster
Makes sure the system matches the desired configuration
Handles API requests, scaling & updates
