What is the difference between an S3 bucket and an S3 object?

The fundamental difference is that an S3 bucket is a container (like a folder or directory), while an S3 object is the actual file stored inside that container.
To use a real-world analogy: if Amazon S3 is a digital filing cabinet, a bucket is the drawer, and an object is the document you put inside it.
