What is Region?
A Region is a large geographical area where a cloud provider (like Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure) has its infrastructure.

Each region contains multiple data centers and is completely independent from other regions.

For example, there is a Mumbai region, a Singapore region, and a US region. If you deploy your application in the Mumbai region, your data and services stay within that geographic boundary, which helps with performance and compliance.
