What is Instance State?
Instance state refers to the current operational condition of an EC2 instance at any given moment. It tells you whether your virtual machine is actively running, power off, or in the process of being permanently deleted.
AWS tracks this condition using the distinct states which are Pending, Running, Stopping/Stopped and Shutting down/Terminated.
