Control plane is responsible for the management, configuration, and many more. It actually focuses on API and interface where we can launch and terminate instances. Modify security groups, give permissions etc. On the other hand data plane is where the actual work of the service gets done. It's responsible for processing and moving the data for example Ec2, S3, Route 53 etc
