What folder should be used to place website files before hosting them in IIS?

The standard and recommended location for website files is dedicated folder on this server(not necessarily inside default one to avoid permissions or security issues with multiple sites)
Common folder is : C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\website files. The default IIS installation uses this wwwroot folder.
