What does the “pending” state mean in EC2? Can you access the instance during this time? pending state means that the instance is preparing to go to the running state. pending state occurs when we launch an instance or when we start an instance from the stopped state no we cant access the instance in pending state

In Amazon EC2, the "pending" state means the instance is being initialized and prepared to run, but not yet fully operational. You cannot access the instance during this time.The instance is not yet fully operational, and you cannot connect to it or perform any actions on it while in the pending state. You need to wait for the instance to transition to the "running" state before attempting to access it.

In Pending state means its not assigned with any server similar to stopped state so we can't access SSH/RDP when the instance in pending state.
