EC2 offers five pricing options: On-Demand, Reserved Instances - 1.standard, 2. Convertible, Spot instance and Dedicated Hosts pricing. Difference in terms of cost and flexibility are as follows, On demand - what we use we pay. Reserved instance - choose standard or convertible. If choose standard amazon provide offer if convertible amazon provide flexibility, Spot instance - substantial cost savings, high flexibility but it is effective for batch processing and testing environment. For spot instances it is cost savings than on demand but. Amazon terminate with a short period of notice. Dedicated host will use for existing software licensed.
