Yes, it is possible to automatically delete additional (non-root) volumes when an instance is deleted, but it depends on the cloud platform and how the volume’s “Delete on Termination” setting is configured. Here’s how it works: 1. AWS (EC2 Instances) • Additional EBS volumes are not deleted by default when an instance is terminated. • Steps to auto-delete: 1. During instance launch:  In the “Add Storage” section, select the additional volume.  Check the “Delete on Termination” box. 2. For existing volumes:  Go to EC2 Console → Volumes → Select volume → Actions → Modify Delete on Termination.  Set Delete on Termination = Yes. ✅ Once set, the additional volume is automatically deleted when the instance is terminated.
