How did you verify that IIS was running?

I verified that IIS was running by typing the EC2 instance's public IP address into my web browser's address bar and pressing Enter.
When the default, blue IIS Windows Server welcome page successfully loaded on the screen, it confirmed that the web server was up, running, and actively accepting incoming HTTP traffic.
