To connect to a Windows EC2 instance from a local machine, the standard method is using a Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) client (such as the native "Remote Desktop Connection" app built into Windows or "Microsoft Remote Desktop" on macOS).
I used RDP because it provides Graphical User Interface(GUI) required to interact visually with a Windows operating system.
