How can you find out the available zones for your Subnet?

To find a subnet's Availability Zone, I can check the Subnets page in the VPC console, use the describe-subnets AWS CLI command, or look at the AZ of an EC2 instance running in that subnet. A subnet is always associated with exactly one Availability Zone.
