Yes, it is possible, but it is not very direct and more of a workaround. First when you launch a VPC, set its tenancy to default(shared is default). Now, when you launch some EC2 instances, set it to Dedicated tenancy. Generally, EC2 instances launched directly take the same tenancy as VPC. Therefore, some instances are of shared tenancy and the instances that were explicitly stated as Dedicated are of dedicated tenancy.
