Can a VPC peering connection span across AWS regions (inter-region peering)?
Yes. AWS supports inter region vpc peering, allowing you to connect vpc's located in different regions. Traffic is securely encrypted, remains entirely on the global AWS network backbone, and never traverses the public Internet.
