3. you have an EBS volume in us-east-1a, how can you use a snapshot to move or recreate that data in us-east-1b.

Select the ebs volume then in action select create snap shot, after creating the snapshot now go to snapshot at EBS, there select create volume from snapshot, now the volume is created in another AZ. Launch an EC2 instance in another AZ where u created the volume for the snapshot. Now attach the EBS volume of the snapshot to the instance.

Snapshot cannot be directly stored in another AZ. We can store the backup as ebs volume data directly to an ec2 instance.
