2.What is a 3-tier architecture and which tiers are placed in public vs. private subnets?

Presentation (Web) tier: The user-facing layer. Handles incoming requests and serves the UI (web servers, load balancers).
Application (Logic) tier: Runs the business logic. Processes requests from the web tier and talks to the database.
Data (Database) tier: Stores and manages data (RDS, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).
