EFS Standard:

EFS IA:

Lower storage cost (up to 92% cheaper than Standard).

Good for backups, older logs, or rarely accessed files.

Still accessible instantly, but with higher latency.

No EFS Archive Tier:

If you need true archival storage with high latency but ultra-low cost, use:

Amazon S3 Glacier (~minutes to hours latency)

Amazon S3 Glacier Deep Archive (~12 hours latency)
