LAN (Local Area Network) → Small area (home, office).

WAN (Wide Area Network) → Large area, multiple cities/countries (internet).

MAN (Metropolitan Area Network) → Covers a city/metropolitan area.

What is the difference between a switch and a hub?

Hub → Sends data to all devices (less secure, less efficient).

Switch → Sends data only to the intended device (more efficient).

What is the difference between a router and a switch?

Router → Connects different networks (LAN to internet).

Switch → Connects devices within the same network.

What is an IP address, and what are its two main versions?

An IP address is a unique identifier for devices in a network.

What is the difference between public IP and private IP?
