Components Created Automatically - VPC, Main Route Table, Network ACL, Security Group. Components That Require Manual Configuration - Subnets, Internet Gateway (Need to attach IGW to corresponding VPC), Route Table Entries.

When a custom VPC is created, a route table with the local route (for internal communication) is automatically created. 1. Subnet has to be manually created. 2. Internet gateway has to be manually created and attached to the VPC. 3. In the route table the route for the public internet via the internet gateway has to be added.

The VPC Itself: The virtual private cloud is the primary resource that gets created.   A Default Router: A router is automatically created within your VPC. This router is used to manage traffic within the VPC. A Default Network Control List (NACL): A default NACL is created, which by default allows all inbound and outbound IPv4 and IPv6 traffic. A Default Security Group and A Main Route Table. Apart from these we have to manually add internet gateway, subnets, Route to igw and Nat gateway.
