Public subnet: Place the ec2 instance in a subnet that is associated with a route table containing a route to an internet gateway. Internet gateway: Attach an igw to the vpc & connect it to the route table used by the subnet. Public IP : Assign a public IP address/elastic IP to the ec2 instance. Security group rules: Add an inbound rule in the sg to allow traffic from the internet.
