ST1 is an EBS volume type in AWS designed for high-throughput workloads. It uses HDD (Hard Disk Drive) storage. Best for large, sequential data access, like: • Big data • Data warehouse • Log processing • SC1 is another HDD-based EBS volume made for infrequent access. It offers the lowest cost EBS storage. Best for cold data like: • Backups • Archives • Data you don’t access often
